There the words crowd one another

I am watching nouns adjust to verbs
And prepositions embrace difference
Some words joined to express something
Undefinable although I understand
Meaning intention attitude
A turn of phrase or pages
I am turning to look back
Reconsideration regret
The letters black and blunt against paper
While the photographs tell
The story in sharp contrast
And shades of gray
