Lost Post
I was blogging Project Runway and lost the post. It'a almost over and so I'll just say that I dislike Michael's and Jeffrey's designs.
But they're all in!
But they're all in!

Who Will Buy This Wonderful Morning?
Who will buy this wonderful morning?
Such a sky you never did see!
Who will tie it up with a ribbon
And put it in a box for me?
There'll never be a day so sunny,
It could not happen twice.
Where is the man with all the money?
It's cheap at half the price!
Who will buy this wonderful feeling?
I'm so high I swear I could fly.
Me, oh my! I don't want to lose it
So what am I to do
To keep the sky so blue?
Such a sky you never did see!
Who will tie it up with a ribbon
And put it in a box for me?
There'll never be a day so sunny,
It could not happen twice.
Where is the man with all the money?

Good Morning Good Morning
Nothing to do to save his life call his wife in
Nothing to say but what a day how's your boy been
Nothing to do it's up to you
I've got nothing to say but it's O.K.
Good morning, good morning...
Going to work don't want to go feeling low down
Heading for home you start to roam then you're in town
Everybody knows there's nothing doing
Everything is closed it's like a ruin
Everyone you see is half asleep.
And you're on your own you're in the street
Good morning, good morning...
After a while you start to smile now you feel cool.
Then you decide to take a walk by the old school.
Nothing has changed it's still the same
I've got nothing to say but it's O.K.
Good morning, good morning...
People running round it's five o'clock.
Everywhere in town is getting dark.
Everyone you see is full of life.
It's time for tea and meet the wife.
Somebody needs to know the time, glad that I'm here.
Watching the skirts you start to flirt now you're in gear.
Go to a show you hope she goes.
I've got nothing to say but it's O.K.

Good Morning
Wonderful is sound
Wonderful is wisdom
Wonderful is life
Wonderful its distinctions
Wonderful is praise
Wonderful is eulogy
Wonderful the Presence
One sees in the present
O wonder-struck am I to see wonder upon wonder.

One sees in the present
O wonder-struck am I to see wonder upon wonder.

Sunday
Suggested way of reading the Sunday Times: use a highlighter to emphasize a felicitous of turn of phrase. Or a place or book to visitl.

Project Runway
omigawd! Angela and Vincent are back, with a chance to win. There will be three people eliminated. That's just wrong.
I hope hope hope that Laura isn't eliminated.
$100.00 and it must be black and white and all the fabric must be used. Vincent has too much fabric.
Question by Tim to Kayne: "Where's the white fabric?" and Kayne shows him a thin belt-like strip and says "Does this count as fabric?" Tim says "Jesus!" Tim always says the right thing.
Laura is stressing out. It seems her intent to make something more youthful is causing her to hit the wall. It's not her aesthetic. And now she's crying. Don't cry Laura: you're very talented.
Ulli did the same dress she always does.
Vincent, Angela, and Jeffrey's dresses were just a mess.
Michael and Laura absolutely rocked.
Laura won!
yay!
And Kayne is out. Sorry it should have been Jeffrey.

Nothing Has Changed
The empty rhetoric, repeated, that everything has changed is a propaganda tool. Perhaps, for those who actually lost loved ones or who were injured there everything has changed; but that change is the same change that we all experience with loss. It's universal but not contemporaneous: my loss may have occurred yesterday or may yet occur. The loss is singular, personal and cannot be generalized.

Summer's Ending
Brief cold snap: promise of things to come, though it's supposed to warm up. There are still beautiful roses all over the neighborhood. I can't get enough of them.

Symphony Gala
The Dvorak was magnificent. A brilliant ending to a wonderful evening. The Stravinsky with the violinist, Christian Tetzlaff, was exuberant. I must admit I was rather underwhelmed by the opening by Mikhail Glinka. It was fluff and left room for the other pieces.
The season has begun!

Workers Of the World Unite!
Modern industry has established the world-market, for which the
discovery of America paved the way. This market has given an
immense development to commerce, to navigation, to communication
by land. This development has, in its time, reacted on the
extension of industry; and in proportion as industry, commerce,
navigation, railways extended, in the same proportion the
bourgeoisie developed, increased its capital, and pushed into the
background every class handed down from the Middle Ages.:
