First SF-AT Meetup
After Gem Of the Ocean at ACT met up with Enrique, Wende, and Dana, aka aquarabbit, at the Redwood Room, then across the street for antojitos. Lots of fun and truly nice and interesting people. A great time was had by all. Pictures to follow.

My Feeling Exactly
"Let me get this disclaimer out of the way quickly:
I think ice dancing is a cheap fraud of a non-sport, reprehensible in every imaginable way, loathsome in concept and execution, a sleazy, chintzy ersatz third cousin twice removed to figure skating, an affront to all things Olympic and a screaming disgrace to real athletes everywhere. The women look like gaudy trollops from the disco era while the men look like assembly line gigolos trying too hard with their unbuttoned silk shirts and slicked-back hair.
Besides that, I just don't like it.
For artistic and erotic reasons alone, ice dancing should have been retired as an Olympic sport after the 1984 Olympics in Sarajevo, when the British pair of Torvill and Dean (Jayne and Christopher, but their first names are irrelevant) virtually melted the ice with their mesmerizing performance set to Ravel's Bolero. There are thousands of 21-year-olds who owe their very existence to Torvill and Dean."

Just as i predicted: Santino, Chloe, and Daniel are in. Daniel won the challenge and Iman will wear his dress on the red carpet. Daniel is the best, followed by Chloe.

Sunday
It's the end of the weekend...but the beginning of the week.
It's the day of rest...but you have to get ready for work.
It's the Lord's day...but you spend it watching sports.

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They have a deep sense of loyalty, are honest, and inspire other people's confidence because they know how to keep secrets. But Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, and eccentric. They care little for wealth, yet somehow always seem to have money. They can be cold emotionally and sometimes distant at parties. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues. Dog people make good leaders. They are compatible with those born in the Years of the Horse, Tiger, and Rabbit.

Our bed is now in the alcove and the entire room seems larger. The bed soft and rounded and inviting.

Project Runway
Omigawd! Nick is out and Santino, whose outfit was literally glued and taped on Kara, is in! Unbelievable. It't got to be because Santino is funny and a drama Queen. The show is a drama but now it's down to Daniel, Kara, Santino, and Chloe. I really think that both Santino and Kara have significant weaknesses, while Daniel and Chloe are rock solid. I felt really bad about Nick. I felt he went in the wrong direction with Daniel's look: it was severe when he should have gone for more joy. I think Nick is too invested in the "image." But his outfit was better than Santino's. Oh, well. it's just tv.

Moving Furniture

I moved all the living room furniture yesterday. It looks beautiful. Of course, there's tension in the house between beauty and comfort. I don't understand why the balance isn't alway weighted toward beauty. I guess it's because I'm uncomfortable when the aesthetic is neglected or shoved to the side. That's probably why I love Macs: beauty and utility in one package.

Saints who show us the mercy of God and His willingness to take us warts and all. "Even if everyone betrays you, I shall never betray you." Nevertheless, he is a saint and a great one. He holds the keys that open the gate that leads to...

Sunday
Super Bore is over. Lots of pots of food in the fridge. Lots of pain in the wrist from too many rounds of Sudoku. Tomorrow will be the day I begin exercising on my own as my walking parnter has no inclination to continue to doing so.
Ah, well.
Ah, well.
